Your point about cookies is well taken. Some folks routinely eliminate them to *cover their tracks*. Our article about how to delete cookies several issues back was very popular. Howeve, we recommend NOT deleting them in most circumstances.

There is NO chance EmpTemp will eliminate critical files. It comes preset to empty only non-critical folders. They may contain EXE and DLL files that were used in program setups.

The \keepdir switch is useful if use add your own folders to EmpTemp's deletion lineup, and these contain subfolders that you'd have to go back and recreate manually.
